El Nido: Talisay Beach, Matinloc Shrine and Helicopter Island

Before my battery ran out as I kept on flashing it on Secret Beach, we left for Talisay Beach to have lunch. Hindi talaga ako naka move on.

Hanaping mabuti...

The Crowded Talisay

My guide told me that it was called such because of the Talisay Tree na sumulpot out of the cliff. Moving on..

My spot.. (baket kanyo?)

Kasi pwede dito ang umay shots.. hahah! here we go! ^_^

We left for Matinloc Shrine. I really don't know the story behind it basta ang alam ko lang e maganda ang view, nagustuhan ko ang pagka pino ng sand at may nagaganap na fiesta dito tuwing Mayo. We also saw an abandoned mansion na halos wala ng gamit at hindi pa natitirhan. We also found  a small cave with tons of pictures and excerpts from news paper and magazines. I guess its where you can find the history of Matinloc. Naka-hang lang sa tabi tabi. Just check it out when you get there. Mas gusto ko mag picture kesa magbasa. hahaha!

Small beach entrance...

(Come on laugh! It's a joke..)

the other side (panira ang ugatpak! Gusto kong palakolen ang punong yan)

sarap itulak no? ^_^ bleh! (dapat pala pouting lips. Next time.)

Mini-chapel
(I was standing at the veranda of abandoned mansion. Great spot for guy hunting.. lol!)

cliff walls upclose (minus the diyosa)

Moving on.. we headed to Helicopter island.
need I say more?
Buti na lang last spot na namin to for that day... The wind was so strong that the boat cover should be tied up unless we want to flip over. We were soaked in the water literally. "♫ heto akoooooh basang basa sa ulahaaan ♫"

After we docked, the rain has stopped. The storm has passed. Look at all the colors, now the sun's here at last (Well...I wish!)

Apir kuya! You saved the day..

Tsk! If I would compare my previous underwater pix.. well... it's incomparable. hahah! Forgive me baby..

I consider this snorkeling site as the best among other spots in El nido. Well, Coron is still at its best in my opinion.

Batik batik tuloy. Nakakadiri lang.

That ends my island hopping series. weeekeeeh! I hope you enjoyed reading all of it. I will be writing a separate entry of Calitang Beach, the queen of all beaches I've been, very very soon. I'm so excited for this one. If I would list down the reasons why I should go back to El Nido, this would definitely be on top of my list.

Tour C includes Secret Beach, Talisay Beach, Matinloc Shrine, Hidden Beach, and Helicopter Island. Damage is 900.00 per pax inclusive of lunch. Please contact Marina Garden Beach Resort (09176247722) or any other resort tutal pare-pareho naman sila ng bayad. hihihi!

Until next time!

El nido: Secret Beach Revealed (char!)

It's been said that El nido is one of the most romantic places in the Philippines.. that you shouldn't go there alone.. that you should be with your special someone when you decided to go that far dahil maiinggit ka lang. Siguro dati I would say "Bring it on!", pero nung nakarating na nga ako finally, parang may nagtulak sakin sabihing "O tukso layuan mo ako!" hahaha!

Well, what to do? Honestly, I still enjoyed it! Promise..

Ay Sha! Enough of this Valentine Promo kuno (hindi ako binabayaran para diyan. hahaha!). I've posted my Day 1 and 2 entries. I entitled it "I've fallen for you" because I indeed fell in love.

Small Lagoon

I've already shared what's hidden on Hidden Beach...

Now it's time to share the secrets of Secret Beach.. Uy pwede atang tongue twister yung last statement. Try nyo dali.. ^_^

If you want to experience this paradise, choose Tour C island hopping package which I paid 900.00 inclusive of lunch.

We've come to the most challenging part.

entrance to Secret Beach (at ang mahinang wave kuno)

Glimpse of Paradise
Successful naman akong nakapasok. Walang pasa, bukol, poknat o kung ano pa man. Ginawang dophin? Thank you _______ by the way. Salamat sa paghila ng butanding. I truly appreciate it. If only I could remember your name.

The moment I had the glimpse of the beach, daig ko pa ang kiti-kiti sa likot kaka-picture. Every angle, every shot, under water or not, I was stunned by its beauty.

I can't think of any adjective to describe this place... I'll leave it up to you

Puma Ley Ar ikaw ba yan?! hahaha!

Limestone walls enclosed this gorgeous beach. It's really great that we're the first ones to arrive. Walang asungot sa mga pictures.

well, they're my guides

Clear?
We've seen the creepy underwater tunnel. Scared the hell out of me since the source of light is very visible in the opening so you can clearly see the fishes coming in and out of the surface.  Eeeek!

The columbian guy I was with found another tunnel just near that entrance and challenged our guide if his breathe can last til he found the way out.. His name is Luis Fernando by the way.

Let's go check it out!

fail na naman ang sea slug :(

fish tayo!

Hay! As we go along, El Nido never fails to amaze me. I would have to agree with other bloggers who've been there, sa ngalan ng kagandahan, sana it stays this way.

Coming soon!

El Nido Island Hopping: Discovering Hidden Beach

I've been to El Nido, Palawan gaya nga ng sabi ko sa una kong kwento..

Dati, I thought of El nido as a luxurious destination. I guess it's merely because there are no cheap flights being offered by the only airline that has direct flights to El nido. I browsed SEAIR's site to check the regular rate at ako'y nagimbal. Hahah! P15,000.00?!?! No way!

I would like to thank all the bloggers who posted their El Nido experience. You all made my dream come true. Woot woot!

I already mentioned I chose Tour A and C for the island hopping packages because it's the more popular ones. I don't want to miss a thing here so let's go check out the latter.

breakfast at the beach? anyone?

I saw pearl vendors roaming around while I was eating and tried a few pieces. Hmmm.... I wonder where "The Proposal" will take place? hihihih! Could you please tell him I want it here.. choosy ako e. hahah!

Day 3 outfit - (spell R-E-U-S-E. Hulaan kung san ko ito huling sinuot..)

fail SMART advertisement! hahah! Nice try Pinky! (my phone)

We started the tour. I was with a couple and 1 male solo joiner as well. I was so shy to take a picture of them. hihih! They're all foreigners by the way. The 2 came all the way from Columbia. Actually they were surprised this it was actually my first time there. Charot!

Hidden Beach

Our guide told us to bring our goggles and life vest because it's been said that the under water that surrounds the beach offers quite a view. Masunurin kami.

Entrance to hidden beach
We need to pass a small cave that has knee-deep water. Basically, the water came from the waves the sea created. Hindi naman siya stagnant like the one in Secret Lagoon kaya keri lang magtampisaw. Hindi ka matatakot na lintain. haha! I was so excited to see what's on the other end. *Giggling*

it really is hidden..
I felt my jaw dropped the moment I saw it. I want to stay there forever.

The sand is white and fine. Cliff walls adds to the picturesque view. Water is super clear. It's so clear that you don't even need to wear snorkeling mask. Naked eye is enough. There's no kubo or any place to hide from the sun aside from the shadows of the bouldering karst limestone.

and I don't know them.. Kung maka pose ah!

Woot! Whew! That's the couple I was talking about

Let's check out what's underneath...

Hey Mimo! You miss me baby?

I found out when you touch their sanctuary, it's really soft ... and it folds. Amazing!

WARNING! Nanunuka siya promise!

Parang panucha lang..

snake-like creature.. scary!

No other star fish

Pwede ng pang Foot spa

Loner

I was shocked when this red creature hide after I touched it.. it's alive!

Palaboy

fail macro shot of a sea slug

Ang pagpupulong

at ang Dyosa... hahah! Charot! Naka cross legs talaga

It was fun though.

Since I have tons of pictures to share, I might as well create another entry for that. Kaya nga ba may series na tinatawag. hihihi! More of the hidden treasures of El nido sa aking pagbababalik! Watch out for that.
