I'm officially in! =(

Masaklap... Now I'm feeling guilty.

First time ko atang hindi natuwa sa medical result. All my life the doctor always diagnosed me as being malnourished.

CDO-Bukidnon-Camiguin Series: Island Tour

We woke up as early as 2:30 am because Kuya Richard will pick us up at 3:00. Wala ng ligo ligo. We arrived in Balingoan Port just in time to catch the 5:15am first trip to Camiguin. By the way, it was my first time to ride a RORO. We paid 150.00 each.

After a few minutes, we found ourselves scattered. Kanya kanyang higa sa upuan. Salamat sa mga overnight projects sa office. We mastered the ability to sleep anywhere. I need to recharge anyway. I felt like I was in a hammock. Paugoy ugoy pa. I woke up to pee but when I saw their comfort room, I never felt comfortable at all. Tiniis ko na lang. Foul talaga.

Nasobrahan sa pagkakahimbing si Madam. If you're with my group, never sleep as if it would be the last. Maraming nangyayari behind the scenes pag naunahan ka nilang gumising. hahaha!

After an hour and an a half, we arrived safely. I saw Kuya Jun holding "Barney and Friends" banner at Benoni Port. No comment kung sino si Barney samin. lol! Ayokong ma-injured. Since we have a super tight schedule, before we put our bags in the lodge we started the tour. First stop, Katibawasan Falls.

It's a quite long journey. Nevertheless, it was all worth it.

Gigantic falls welcomed us!

Great shooting location for a film... Hmmmmmm... Take one!

Next stop.. White Island..

You haven't been to Camiguin if you fail to visit this island. We were not blessed with a good weather that time. But we still had the opportunity to play and appreciate its beauty. Had I known that this is only a few minutes from the our lodge sana sa last day na lang to nilagay.

I had the same feeling when I saw Banana Island in Coron. I rented snorkeling gear to check if there's a nice underwater view.

The peaceful side

the long and winding sand bar

para san pa ang underwater cam...
See those talukap? Sila ang mga labi ng Sea urchin.
Actually, marami nagbebenta ng fresh sea urchin dun. Kaya pala nagkalat sa dagat. My friends tried it, ako hindi. There were only a few fishes in White island. Wala rin magandang corals. Fail din ang Mt. Hibuk Hibuk na back drop. Shyness ayaw magpakita samin.

We had so much fun playing here. Para kaming na-rape ng alon after.. lol! (me and mich)

Beach bummers (wawa ang walang snorkeling gear... hahaha!)

After an hour, we left. Masyado pang maraming dapat puntahan.. Next is Sto. NiƱo Cold Spring.

Madam took a nap. The rest jumped into the water. At least I was once "The Cold One". Hihihi! I was wondering where the water is coming from. Based on my research, dun mismo sa ilalim. It was freezing cold. Sarap matulog pero naisip kong sayang amg moment. We ate lunch there. Pwede magpaluto. I suddenly missed my province when I saw that they used Cals (native chicken) in adobo. Yummy! We also ordered their specialty Surol - cals cooked in coconut milk and fresh buko juice in a buko shell. Mouth watering.

And the journey continued...

I luckily snapped this shot habang nasa sasakyan.. para kong  napapakanta ng "♫..kung ang buhay as isang.. umagang nakangiti... ♫"

Next, 16th Century Old Guiob Church Ruins..

We're all smiles because the sun shone so bright (so bright talaga? hahaha!). I just love ruins. I find it mysterious. Perfect for another shooting location... hihihi! Take two!

Action!

Grabbed from the movie Tarot

I belong! hihihi! We watched it on PBO the night before we went here in Camiguin. My weapon was supposed to be a dagger and of course we don't have one so kahoy na lang.. Panira lang ang orange short.. hahaha!

Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara!

Ang Mambabarang.. (I love it madam! hahaha!)

A few weeks before this trip, I saw a promo of Airphil to send a jump shot pic and get an all expense paid to Boracay.
I can't find a valid entry.. Next time we already have. hihihi!

Next goal? To witness the sunset at Sunken Cemetery..

We arrived there mga past 5:00pm. We spent our time in Rhel's. It's just beside the viewing deck. In fairness, I was imagining Kris, Ai and FMG on the background screaming "You got it!" Clap!

We ate halo halo for meryenda. Mas nasarapan pa ko dun kesa sa Razon at Chowking. I thought P70.00 is not worth it. I was wrong. Uber satisfied tummy. I slept for a while.

Hindi kami nagboat papunta dun. Ayoko rin makita ang nagtatagong lapida. I've had enough of the eerie feeling sa sunken ships in Palawan. (Click link to see Chyng's blog)

The long wait is over. Hindi niya kami binigo. I saw a lot of sunset but this one's the most dramatic of all. Sulit ang paghihintay.

We did not waste our time. Direk Martyn on cue.

Pre-nup at the Sunken Cemetery is definitely not a bad idea... weird nga lang pero... just take a look.

(Shempre hindi ako yan...hahaha!)  That's Jeneson & Mich. Raaawrr! Kilig kami! ayiii!

After the photo ops, we left for Old Volcano and Station of the Cross.. I felt bad because Kuya never told us that they don't have light post along the way. So pano kami aakyat kung ganun. Kung makaakyat man kami, baka may sanib na kami pagbalik. Scary kaya. We don't have a choice but to take a pic at the beginning of the trail. Fail kami.

We proceeded to Ardent Hot Spring. Wala kaming pictures. Low bat na lahat. The place is nice. Dun kami sa 39 degress nag enjoy. It's not good to spend hours in a hotspring. Soda water was also an epic fail. Hindi na rin kinaya ng oras. Nanghihinayang ako.

Kuya recommended Paras. Since it's very near sa lodge, we decided to eat there. Hinatid na kami dun.  Before we parted ways, I asked kuya kung kaya bang mapuntahan ang Mantigue at Kabila tomorrow. I tried my best to compose myself.

I immediately asked "Ha?! Kelan? sino kinausap mo samin?!?". Wala akong naaalalang may nagbanggit samin tungkol dito. He pointed on ________. The culprit defended himself "..hindi naman natin kakayanin yun talaga e."

I saw Martyn walked out. Disappointed. Wala na kong nagawa. Sabi ko I will ask my group what place to choose. Ambigat ng paa ko papunta sa Paras. Natahimik lahat. I asked them their opinion if they will pick Giant Clam (Kabila) over Coral reefs (Mantigue). Unanimous... Giant Clam kami. Bahala na bukas.

Kuya will pick us up at 6:00am. Mukang may bagyo. Hindi tumitigil ang ulan. We left at 6:30am for the Giant Clam at Kabila. Rough road. Parang 4x4 ride. Dumating kami after an hour and a half. No one welcomed us. While waiting for someone to come out, we took a pic on the Giant Clams in the improvised aquarium.

It was our first time to see it. Yes may "Wow" factor talaga.. We paid for it anyway. Kuya soon came together with the punong bantay. I saw her initial reaction. "What the hell are you doing on sea side? Nakikita nyo naman sigurong bumabagyo mga ineng." Sadly, I was right. They did not allow us to snorkel. I understand. Totally understand. Promise. Nag eexplain pa si ate when I suddenly felt I a tear drop. Shit! para akong bata. I tried to keep it to myself para hindi na nila makita. Useless.

Siguro sobra lang akong umasa. Sobrang napahiya sa grupo. Sobrang nadis-appoint. If kuya called them before hand we would have cancelled this Kabila Beach and proceeded with the other spots that we missed on day 1. If the culprit last night did not spoil our Mantigue Island, sana nakapunta kami dun. Maraming nag flash back na what ifs. Mind you..Limang tumataginting.

My group was very supportive. I love you guys.

Take 3... Action!

Ang nangungulila.. Paalam mga higanteng kabibe

She sells sea shells by the sea shore (so kailangan naka pout? hahah!)

Pinagttripan na ko ng mga hinayupak. hahaha! Their turn...

Sha ikaw na! Ang lakas mo! hahaha! Winner!

♫ Oh lumapit ka..♫

Basilio..Crispin.. Mga anak ko! Asan kayo!

My MMK moment fade away because of them. Thank you guys. We left Camiguin at 12 noon. Sabi ng new found friend naming taga branch may hinanda daw siyang pochero kaya daan daw muna kami bago pumunta ng airport.

Sinabi naming gawin niyang 1 and 1/2 hour lang ang dapat sanay 2 hours travel time. Machunurin siya. hahaha!

We saw a habal habal sa gitna.
Sagasaan!

Buhay na buhay. hahah! After an hour, natahimik si Martyn.

He smiled.

Marami mang kamalasan, still enjoy pa rin kaming lahat. May new set of friends na naman ako. I spent 7940.00 for this 4 days 3 nights CDO-Camiguin Trip. Not bad isn't it.

Huwag umasa. hahaha! Salamat!

CDO-Bukidnon-Camiguin Series: Zorb & Dinner at Inilog Grill

It's better to visit the prequel entries first:
Choco Water Rafting (well.. in our case. hihihi!)

Recently ko lang nalaman na meron palang Zorb at the end of the rafting site. Right after our rafting, madam and I tried it. Everyone else were dead tired. 300 per person ang fee.

oh yes we are! Amazona to'

Solong solo namin.. walang ibang tao dun, kami lang hihihi! =)

Wala pa madam... Keri pa?

getting ready..

It's for you to find out.

We were strapped on the ball. Duda pa ko kung kakayanin. hahaha! Ang taba ko kasi. I failed to ask kung ok lang mag isa ka. But I don't think it would be this fun if ever mag isa ka nga. Wala na kayang mas sasaya pa pag nakikita mo ang reaksyon ng ka-buddy mo - scared, screaming, laughing all at the same time. The best.

I felt the lula factor first since madam was positioned near the floor and shempre I was on top. I was a bit scared pero lamang ang excitement. First time ko kasi. I felt the first bounce. Ang saya sayaaa!

here we go! wuhuuu!

Muka naman kaming nag enjoy sa pictures no? Nawala sa position si madam hahaha! We had so much fun. Ang magical singing voice ko nadiskaril after. Hahaha! I suggest may video sa loob ng bola. I'm sure alang sinabi ang lahat ng Bitoy's funniest entries.

PBA Talk n Text Players were there according to locals. I got excited when I saw their bus on the end of Rafting site. Solong solo namin sila if ever. Mind you, they only tried beginners course hahaha! Ang kulit. Sabi nung tindera, mga 2 hours pa daw bago sila dumating. While still waiting for them, nag-iimagine na ko ng mga pose ko with papi Jimmy Alapag. Ginutom kami. My friends ordered tuna. Uber sarap din. Noodles lang ako. Pulubi mode.

Balik lungga. Sleep muna.

7:30pm na ko nagising. Kakain nga pala.

It's good to know we have a branch in CDO. Mich and Jenison went there since I asked them to get the CD  pix from Rafting Adventure which is just a few blocks away from the branch.. As technical people, we don't get to see them in person. I was never deployed. I guess that's the downside of remote access. hihihi! We are supporting 60+ branches all over the country and I really have a bad memory kaya kahit sabihin nila kung sino sila, it's useless. Buti na lang natatandaan nila kami. hahaha! They insisted that we should visit them too, kaya sumunod din kami sa Divisoria. (Yes you read it right.. may Divi sa CDO. )

They're very friendly. I felt like it was not the first time I met them. Sabik sila sa mga taga head office. Since taga dun na nga sila, they know everything we need to know. First time kong matuwa sa isang resto literally.

I thought it was just a typical place para sa mga tanggero... I was wrong. Nagulat ako when the waiter gave us the menu. Hagalpak kami sa kakatawa.

Ito ang gumulantang samin...

The menu is full of funny quotes kaya ang tagal tagal bago namin na realize na nag-aantay nga pala yung waiter ng order namin. I'd like to share some... I can't get over it hahahah!

- "BIRDS of the same FEATHERS are the SAME BIRDS."

- "Don't DO unto OTHERS what YOU CAN'T DO."

- "An APPLE a DAY is 365 apples a YEAR."

- "When the CAT is AWAY, the MOUSE is ALONE."

- "Early to BED and early to RISE makes YOU sleepy in the AFTERNOON."

"HUBOG". (feel free to comment.. ambot)

Want some more?

"If you DON'T LIKE our Standards of COOKING, LOWER your STANDARDS."

"If you think No one cares about you, try missing a couple of PAYMENTS."

"If your ORDER is not SERVED In 15 minutes, JUST WAIT LONGER." (lol)

"I don't have a DRINKING PROBLEM, I Drink, I get DRUNK, I FALL DOWN... NO PROBLEM."

"IF YOU LIKE INILOG GRILL, tell SOMEONE, if you DON'T, TELL US!"

"If you like HOME-COOKED meals, GO HOME!"

I just googled it and found this one..

"Pssst! Don't PUMP!
Just STEP on the KNOB near your FEET and WATER will FLOW.
(Di ba... walang ganyan sa STATES?")

Korek! hahhaa! I highly recommend that you visit this place.

DRUNKEN ADVICE :
He who drinks, get drunk.
He who gets drunk, fall asleep.
He who falls asleep does not sin.
He who does not sin goes to heaven.
So lets all drink and go to heaven.

Specialty nila ang Bulalo. Simot sarap hanggang bone marrow. Yung sisig, ayoko. Ichura pa lang sumasakit na batok ko. Masarap din yung Pakbet at Calamares. Sulit. Hindi na ako umiinom e. Sayang. Hindi ko kinaya si Madam Neri. Ginagawang tubig ang San Mig. Certified sunog-baga. Ikaw na!

(FYI. Isa si madam sa nag BI sakin para uminon when she was still my officemate sa Canon) Beware! hahaha!

Rice all you can pala sa kanila. Hindi kasi namin alam yung "All you CAN-ON".

Basta never miss this place when you're there. Sulit na sulit.

This is our last night in CDO. Camiguin is up next....

CDO-Bukidnon-Camiguin Series: Choco Water Rafting

You might want to check out the first post on this series - Dahilayan ZipZone and Del Monte Club House

Our tour coordinator, itago natin sa pangalang Lynette, chose 1st Rafting Adventure to be our rafting guide. Well, as their name says, pioneer sila dito sa CDO. Yung ibang guide, nasa Philippine team talaga. I'm not sure if ours was one of them. Month before, I asked Lynette to confirm if Rafting Adventure have Extreme Course or kahit anong mas hihigit pa sa Advance. Mind you, may Advance Course 2 and Extreme Course pa. Sabi nung new found friend namin, kung adrenalin rush ang gusto namin, we should have taken Extreme. Wala pang 20 minutes laglag kayong lahat. First rapid pa lang, helpless ka na. Hmp!

So what do we expect, a Choco Water Rafting...

Briefing briefing...

Number one rule, Don't Panic. I tried my best promise. hahahh! You'll see. Dalawa lang ang direction ng pagpapaddle. Backward and forward. Simple lang. (That's what I thought)

High Five (ahoo! ahoo!)
Let's get ready to rumble!

Ala-ala ng maputing kutis

Let's go!
I wondered what the real rapid looks like.

Here we go! Splash sa nakakadiring tubig!
Ewness.

Everyone: O Forward daw 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 ++
Everyone: (pahiya)
Madam: Sya! Ipagpatuloy... 1,2,1,2..

Eto na!

we're all smiles. Still alive and kicking!
We took our lunch on the river side. Hindi masarap. Ayoko ng adobong baboy. At mainit ang mineral water.

Top from left to right: Me, Joevert, Martyn, Madam Neri
Front from left to Right: Arthur, Mich (look how scared she was. hihihi!), jenison is busy taking pictures below the bridge

that's Boots! este Martyn.. walang pagsidlan ng kasiyahan.
I'm so sorry madam.

Effort bumalik. Nakainom pa ko ng tubig. Kadiri talaga.
Habang tumatagal we've expected more and huge drop. Then we got used to it. Take a look at the next shot... bakas na ang boredom.

Minsan nawawala sila bigla. Splashing water to each other. Parang sa pelikula lang. ayiii! Napagtripan namin sila. Isang beses na pagtaob nila, habang nagsswim swim yung photographer pabalik ng kayak at pinipilit iakyat nung partner niya, I sang then everyone followed.. "♫ If ever you're in my arms again... this time I hold you forever.. ♫" Laugh trip.

Taob! hahahah!

Nakakita na naman ng opportunity si kuya. Oh well...

Hahahha! Actually I was a bit sad too. Ok lang yan kuya, I feel for you. hahaha!

Tayuman take two!

Laugh trip ulit after.

Now tell me, sino kaya ang hindi magpapanic nun. I saw it. Martyn, Jobert and I was on the wrong side of the raft.. Sasakto kami. Madam was trying to save Jobert first. I tried to position my body ng patihaya. Good thing, pumihit yung raft. I was saved. Si Jobert, hindi. Sapul ang balakang niya. =(

No Reaction. I can't blame them, kasi maski ako ayoko din.

Then the moment came wherein we have to jump off from the big rock...

bombs away!

Promise.. lumutang ako at nakuha mga 5 meters away from the rock na. Ang hirap mag swim pabalik ha. Senyales na ng diet.

After 4 hours natapos din kami. I would probably rate it 7 out of 10. I'd probably be back and try the Extreme Course..

Nag Zorb ako after ng rafting. It's my first time and I had sooo much fun.

Up next na yan..

Stay tuned.
