Lake Sebu and Zipline above 7 falls

Ever been to the Summer Capital of the South? It was then I only knew that we have a summer capital on the other part of the Philippines. Ayaw magpa-kabog sa Baguio? hihihi! Anyway, before I forget all the details, let me tell you this story. I believe Marx, my travel buddy, already did his part (gusto ko na ngang kopyahin na lang e. hahaha!) Batugan lang. This is the last part of our SOCSARGEN series na uber long overdue. (Busy ako sa lablayp e. Charot..)

Naki-tili din ako but I'd rather not share it with you.

Whenever I have the chance to try these activities, naiisip ko yung father ko. Kahit daw bayaran siya ng milyon, he would never do what I did.

We alloted a day here in Lake Sebu since, like the other spots we've been, the travel time took much of our time. We decided to have lunch in the most popular resort in the area - Punta Isla.

The resort is surrounded by trees. I love the feel of summer breeze. Ang sarap kumanta ng "♫Paraiso.. take my by the hand♫" (tapos maaalala ko ang sarat na ilong ni Geneva noon. La lang. May maisingit lang na kasiraan. lol!)

While we're still waiting for our food we just strolled for a bit and explored the place. There were only a handful of guests. Most of them stayed in the floating kubo.

Floating kubo

Naghihingalo na ang budget ko kakabalik-balik sa Saranggani kaya, we opted to just stay near the lake not on the lake itself. May extra fee kasi. Ay sha! Sila ng ubod ng yaman. Kami na ang medyo mayaman lang. Chos!

This is where we ate

Beside our kubo, we saw three lovely ladies and asked, "T'boli po kayo?" hahah! Ang casual lang. They smiled and replied "Yes Ma'am. T'boli nga kami.." (that's where I learned the true pronunciation of T'boli) Ang tagal ko ng nabubuhay sa maling pronunciation na yan. hahaha!

They introduced themselves and told us they have a dance number for us. We gladly acknowledged it and watched them perform. They had 3 by the way (And I can't remember anything. hahaha!)

Temptation Dance
We were laughing at the entire dance. Hahah! I love the way she posed for our camera. May pakindat-kindat, pasulyap-sulyap at pakagat-kagat labi pang nalalaman si ate. Tinaob ang Careless Whisper. hahah!

At nang-agaw ako ng hairdress hahah! (ako na ang may bilugang mukha. badtrip!)

Shyness

E di kayo na ang Wacky! ^_^

After a while, our food arrived..

The food is great specially the crispy tilapia. I guess it's their best-seller. The chicken soup, which we forgot the name, is as soothing as tinola. I told Marx, when I heard the term I'll remember it for sure since I immediately associated it with "Sinagpang", "Sinakmal", "Sinuklam" basta tunog minassacre na manok. hihihi! Promise. I'll do my research Marx, don't worry. You'll see what I'm talking about. hahaha!

Next stop, COWHED.. just a few meters away from Punta Isla. This is where you buy quality T'boli hand made products. I'd love to buy woolen blouse sana.

hanapin ang medalyon ng mga babaylan

We moved on to our main goal for this SOCSARGEN trip...  the 7 falls. As much as I hate riding a habal-habal, I really had no choice since the road is not well-paved specially when we got closer to the falls. We got excited as we hear the splashes. In fairness, the numbing ride was worth it. Check this out...

Falls # 1 - Dongon

Our driver was kind enough to accompany us closer to the 2 falls. By the way, they are no longer advising the guest for trekking activity to reach all the others. Nakakapagod daw kasi. hahaha! But of course you won't leave without seeing all of them ayt? Well you have no choice but to ride a zipline above them. C'mon mamon! Leave the fear behind. Don't be like my father. hahaha!

Kuya driver and Marx

Ang ganda no? Ang ganda ko lang. Charot. hahaha!
I don't know if they are allowing guest to take a dip. After that, nag-ready na kami for zipline. This is not our first time and this is what we've been waiting for. Kaya naman...

Happy? Ready?
 Gora!

Sabit :)
Presenting my accidental shots up above...

I was in awe upon seeing it on that angle. It will truly take your breath away. Hindi ako maka-move on. After that, we trek a bit to see falls #2 up close.

May the force be with you

Falls #2

Marx!

♫ there's a rainbow always after the rain ♫
Ang cute ng rainbow! I therefore conclude, hindi pala totoo ang pot of gold sa dulo niya.

I thought we can get near them for photo op. Pre-nup pala yun. hahaha! Great idea. Parang gusto ko rin tuloy magpa-prenup. Ako lang ang bida. Chos!

Thanks Marx! It's a pleasure traveling with you.
Mas masipag si Marx kesa sakin kaya I quote:
How to get there? From Amigotel, we rode a tricycle going to Bulaong Terminal. I suppose it's a main terminal in General Santos City as I saw some buses here with routes to some provinces/places in Mindanao. From there, we rode a Yellow Bus Line bus going to Marbel. Marbel is also know as Koronadal City. The name Marbel is popularly known to locals.

There are two options, one air-conditioned bus with signboard Marbel (Non-Stop), fare costs approximately PHP 80.00 and the other one is non air-conditioned bus with signboard Marbel - Polomok, fare costs approximately PHP 50.00 each with stop to Polomok town to pick-up some passenger.

We opted the non-stop bus to Marbel with an hour travel time.

When we reached Marbel, we rode another yellow bus line going to Surralah. Fare costs about PHP 24.00 with 40 minutes travel time. Then from Surralah terminal we took a jeep to Lake Sebu. Fare costs about PHP 30.00 with 50 minutes travel time.

Kindly check out Marx's blog for a more detailed entry. My mind is in its state of deterioration right now. Please bear with me. hahaha! Ciao!
