Sunrise at Mt. Tapyas

October last year, I was able to climb up Mt. Tapyas together with my ever cool mom and Kuya Jason (my boatman friend whom I met din noon) but unfortunately I haven't had a glimpse of sunrise at the top. I dunno. Seems the weather was gloomy that time. Wala man lang paramdam. Ganun. hahah! I promised myself I'll try it again for the second time. I may have gain more weight now but 718 steps won't hurt.

After my Kingfisher Park tour, that same night Kuya Jason and I met finally. He escorted me at Lolo Tino's to have dinner. It's nice to see a long lost friend that I thought I'd never see again. And yes, he was surprised to see me. I told him my plans for the next day which is yung island hopping namin in Coron loop. But I'd like to start my day at Mt. Tapyas. So yun, samahan niya daw ako ulit. He's really nice (actually, inexpect ko na yun. hahah! Abusado much.) In fairness lagi siyang on the dot.

Breaking dawn
Wala pa ko sa taas niyan. Effort talaga. Amazing race kami ni kuya. hahah! Ayokong ma-miss ang moment. I wanted to capture the sun peeking in one of those mountains.

Can you spot the sleeping giant?

Gotcha!

I came back for this. Actually I saw this last year, hindi ko nga lang alam kung san ang daan papunta dun. hihihi!
We spent the rest of our time on that gazebo looking at the whole Coron town proper and nearby islands. Still remember the Gardenia Bread I brought from Manila na muntik ng maubos ni Enzo? Ayun buhay pa rin. I ate a few. Kuya Jason, as expected, never took a piece. Kwentuhan galore ulit kami. Sa totoo lang daw first time niya din sa gazeebo na yun. hihih! Ang ganda daw pala magmoment. Past 6am when we decided to go down. I learned he bought a second hand motorcycle and his boat was remodeled to cater more capacity. Kumikitang kabuhayan. Woot woot! hihihi! Adik!

dying tuko along the way
Kuya was asking me how much will he earn if we sell that gecko. I actually have no idea but I told him that the rumor about illegal buying and selling of that creature to cure AIDS and Cancer is true. I know someone. hihihi! That was the first time I saw one up close. And I really thought it's dead. After I captured this pic, bigla siya ngumanga ng bonggang bongga. Hahah! Out of the topic na. hahah!

Kuya and I went to the market to buy our lunch na iluluto sa island hopping. Then we parted ways... hinanap na ata siya ng misis nya. hahah! Kaya pala biglang nawala.

I highly recommend Kuya Jason to everyone. My mom and I love him kasi nga he's cool, he's kind, he cook best tasting food and he's the greatest boatman in Coron. If you need his services please contact him in this # 09085053687.

:p Anyway, your photos prove that it was worth the waking up early and the hike.

Btw, ako ang English teacher. Honga out of topic ka na. Fail. Hahaha!

Love this line: "If you need his services please contact him...." LOL

kakagaling ko lang ng puerto princesa, and namiss ko talaga ang coron. ibang iba ang coron, i love how small it is compared to the bustling city of pps..

hi christian! Me too. Kaya I prefer to go straight to el nido na lang rather that stay in PPS next year.
